On the occasion of Art Dubai each year the galleries on the Alserkal Avenue (as the group of former warehouses that since a few years have been taken over as galleries) have openings in which partly work is shown that is rather cutting-edge and in some cases goes into a different direction than what is presented in Art Dubai. Although for instance gallery IVDE (Isabelle van den Eynde) or Lawrie Shabibi, one of the most outspoken galleries. try to bring some more synchronization, IVDE this year showing work by Ramin Haerizadeh in both the gallery and in the booth at Art Dubai.
