The Swiss Art Gate UAE organizes contemporary arts exhibitions in a alternating venues, mostly in Abu Dhabi, in the Emirates Palace and Yas Viceroi hotels, or in other venues, and sometimes also in Dubai, in the Armani Hotel or other venues.

As its name indicates, the Swiss Art Gate primarily focuses on cultural exchange between Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. But from this starting point it has grown to a major among the small platforms in Abu Dhabi for Emirati artists.

Most of its events are organized in Abu Dhabi, making it one of the most active smaller-scale arts organizations in Abu Dhabi.

Regular venues in Abu Dhabi are the Mezzaluna space in the Emirates Palace Hotel and the Bridge and Light Box gallery in the Yas Viceroy hotel. In Dubai, recent exhibitions took place in the Armani hotel. In the past, the Swiss Art Gate incidentally had events in Ras Al Khaimah too.

The Swiss Art Gate presents Swiss artists and Emirati artists in the first place, but this is no hard and fast rule. It presents artist from the wider region and from other parts of the world as well.

The Swiss Art Gate’s general manager is Kurt Blum.
